Caswell and Company was founded in 1936 by Mr. D.O. Caswell on South Dexter Street Ionia, Michigan.
Mr. Caswell ran it first as a gas station, then it became a Packard automobile dealership in 1947 and a Nash Dealership in 1949, A Mercury Dealership in 1956 and then changed to a Ford dealership in 1958. The business continued as a Ford-Mercury dealership until September 10, 2002 when the automotive portion was sold off.
Caswell and Company became a Recreational Vehicle Dealership in 1968 and continues to this day in the same location on South Dexter Street. In the past Caswell RV, has sold a variety of RV products both Motorized and Towable. For the last several years they have sold: Crossroads Cruiser Fifth Wheels and Travel Trailers by Thor; Skyline Bobcat; Puma Travel Trailers and Fifth Wheels by Forest River; and Rockwood Fold Down Campers by Forest River.
